In the 1960s, photographer Duane Michals wandered the streets of New York City during early Sunday morning hours in order to capture rare, quiet moments while the metropolis was still asleep.

CRAFT LIBRARIAN AU | Laura might laugh at Derek’s unorthodox library where he lets people borrow his art pieces rather than outright sell them. It wasn’t like they needed the money and really, most college students couldn’t afford something nice for their sad cinder block dorm rooms. Besides, it made Derek happy to do it even when some pieces were never returned; he knew they had found a forever home.

Stiles Stilinski though, he stopped by every day just to browse; always with four or five things checked out or being returned, or just hanging around talking about jurisprudence, Wuthering Heights, or optimal sleep habits while staring at Derek’s arms as he silkscreened some new throw pillows or knotted a macramé planter. Sometimes Derek couldn’t help but wonder if the art was all the kid came to check out. (written by d2cm)

I kind of love that John asks this question.

But this makes me realise that we lack the scene when he contacts Sherlock, or Sherlock contacts him. And they sit together in that ‘facade’ building in Leinster Gardens. John very worried about Sherlock state. And Sherlock is like: just sit quiet in that wheelchair it’s a trap for a shooter. I NEED THAT SCENE!

I needed that scene too, so I wrote it. http://archiveofourown.org/works/1140711

Q: If Firefly had gone on longer, what is something you would’ve hoped to have gotten to do with either just Mal or the story in general?

And they’re all beagles, right?

His reaction is so adorable. You can see the moment his face softens in the 3rd gif.

Oh my god. He doesn’t even know where he is or what’s just happened any more. He’s literally staring at the most competent and remarkable man he’s ever known. Yes, his hand is still pressed against the wound as per John’s instructions but you can not only see him going from “what the hell no” to “oh fine I’ll do it because it’s you” in the third gif. You also see him going from “I’ll do this for you” to “I’d do anything for you, you utterly remarkable human being” in the last one.
